Iteca Exhibitions – impressive results of the spring exhibition events!

Against the backdrop of Uzbekistan's economic growth, Iteca Exhibitions International Exhibition Company has expanded its platforms for national and international companies to interact with each other, enhancing the ability of exporters to promote their products, innovate local businesses, and our lives in general.

Iteca Exhibitions has completed 2024 with outstanding achievements for the entire exhibition industry in Uzbekistan: 20 exhibitions, 14 forums and seminars, attracting more than 113,000 visitors. This is the highest figure for the last decade, and 8,000 more than last year. The events were attended by 4,517 companies and brands, 141 speakers, 2,515 delegates from 57 countries. The geography of visitors has also expanded - 13,894 foreign specialists came to Tashkent from 81 countries to study the market, find partners, conclude contracts, and showcase themselves.

Traditionally, the events covered key sectors of the economy, including construction, oil and gas, energy, food and agricultural industry, health care, transport, textile and textile engineering, mechanical engineering, chemistry.

The total exhibition area exceeded 46,000 square meters, more than half of which was occupied by the products of local exporters. Compared to last year, the share of exporters' participation increased by 27%. These figures demonstrate the scale of the expositions, and the contribution Iteca Exhibitions makes to strengthening national brands, attracting new players to the Uzbek market, and catalyzing competition.

Interestingly, the top five countries with the largest representation at this year's exhibitions were China, Uzbekistan, Russia, Türkiye, and Germany, respectively. According to post-exhibition surveys, 2024 is also notable for the number of new exhibitors - 40%. For some of them, the first acquaintance with Uzbekistan's economic potential has started with the participation in Iteca Exhibitions' specialised projects.

Among the visitors are key representatives of the above-mentioned sectors, including an average of 83.5% of decision-makers directly or indirectly involved in the country's trade agenda.

The unprecedented number of exhibitors and visitors to exhibitions and industry forums in 2024 has reaffirmed Iteca Exhibitions' absolute leadership in Uzbekistan's exhibition industry. Such exhibitions as UzBuild, UzFood, TIHE, Uzbekistan Energy Week and CAITME have become the largest in Central Asia. The latter is the largest and the only one of its kind in the CIS.

Many exhibitions have become recognised national brands thanks to fruitful cooperation with relevant ministries. Specifically, TextileExpo has evolved into an international specialised exhibition, which is held twice a year, showcasing Uzbekistan's achievements in the textile and fashion sectors.

The company is particularly proud of its membership in UFI, the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry. This status guarantees exhibitors that their events comply with international standards, giving them confidence that they are making a reliable investment in their business.

This November, Iteca Exhibitions represented Uzbekistan at the 91st UFI Global Congress in Cologne, Germany, among 550 leaders from 55 countries and regions. Participation in this major annual gathering provided an opportunity to learn about the latest trends and challenges of the exhibition industry in order to promote the sector in Uzbekistan, and increase the visibility of national brands and the industry as a whole.

As part of its commitment to environmental sustainability, which gains a particular relevance in the upcoming "Year of Environment Protection and Green Economy", Iteca Exhibitions states to be the exhibition sector pioneer in refusing from printed exhibition catalogues, plastic badges, switching to environmentally friendly recycling, and digitalising communication processes through Iteca Connect. This app provides useful information for exhibitors and visitors alike, including exhibition news, company descriptions, exposition plans, opening hours, personalised exhibition tickets, and the opportunity to stay in constant contact with industry experts.

Guided by the principle "To contribute to the economic development of Uzbekistan", in 2024 the company confirmed its status as a driver of the national economy, while transforming Tashkent into a magnet for business tourism. By attracting investors, businessmen and international experts, the company stimulates the development of urban infrastructure and increases tourism revenues, strengthening Uzbekistan's position on the global economic map.

The impressive results of 2024 set the stage for ambitious plans for 2025, Iteca Exhibitions' 30th anniversary season. Through the planned 22 exhibitions and 4 forums, the company will continue to strengthen Uzbekistan's position in the international arena, while paving the way for new business opportunities. Iteca Exhibitions would like to thank the ministries and agencies, associations, organisers, partners, exhibitors, visitors, and the media for their active participation and support, and congratulate with the coming year, which promises to be even brighter and more productive.
